The Tenth Teaching

Original Sexuality
This is an Inheritance Teaching. The content of this Teaching is based upon David Fastiggi's life experience in the application and inheritance of Jesus' Aramaic Teachings.

Original Sexual Identity
In The Beginning

At the Ascension of the body (which is the 6th level of purification), combined with spiritual growth based on Jesus’ teachings, you will see to a greater degree, the dignity and the holiness of the opposite sex. With a pure inner being, you see the life before you as sacred.

To love your spouse is the greatest honor and the one point the universe sighs in relief. Know that this love must be towards true love, for only in this direction can the hope of true love itself be accomplished. Though separate, you feel as if your nervous systems are wired together and so your every thought and feeling is to bring joy to the one you love. This joy must correspond to the joy of Heaven.

Personal sense of power comes from personal sense of self. The true self is who we really are in our full God-given potential. In contrast to the true self, a conflicted self weakens the will. We must be in a state of unifying our ideals with our actions in order to feel integrated. When our words are not demonstrated in our actions, this should tell us that there is a gap in our personal growth which is creating contradictory energy. A person who says, “Do as I say, not as I do” is a conflicted person. This person will fail to feel prosperous and fulfilled. We need to become aware of our gaps in order to continue to grow toward our true self.

There is perhaps no other area that demonstrates the concept of a true love-based person versus a false love-based person as significantly as in the area of human sexuality. Two people who are devoted to one another in both mind and body eternally will experience fulfillment. In contrast, if even one person has a distortion (sexual fantasies of other people, anger, or just sexual lust) while attempting to make a sexual union, the experience will be frustrating and leave an emotional void.

Two aspects of human sexuality will be addressed in this teaching: the spiritual and the physical. Both can exist in beautiful harmony with each other.

A human being distinctively belongs to one gender. A person is either a man or woman, male or female. This distinction can be observed in two forms: The spirit self and the biological counterpart. The DNA of a person has both a spiritual and physical aspect. While the physical DNA has been carefully analyzed by modern science, the spiritual DNA eludes current understanding. Just as physical DNA determines physical attributes, the spiritual DNA has an impact on a person’s character traits, such as an inquisitive nature or a nurturing quality as well as tendencies from their ancestry. As physical DNA is regarded as the blueprint of the physical body. Spiritual DNA coupled with physical DNA establishes the template for gender behavior.

Through human biological and spiritual sexuality, devotional love is expressed. For people, sexual expression should be an art. A sensual expression of emotions should be based in devotion both physically and spiritually to the one we love. Sexual expression far exceeds any other human function if it is based on true love. The entire physical and spiritual body converges around the focus of loving the other. It is through this concentrated integration of self that a person’s being and existence comes into fruition. The point of sexual union is a crossroads in which the knowledge of the good and wonderful fulfillment or the horror of evil[i] and loss is experienced. At this crossing a person is totally surrendering to the other. The surrender is meant to be to the one we devotionally love and who shall demonstrate that devoted love back, with the hope that this love will become eternal. This is meant to be the moment that husband and wife (devoted partners) are to become one. The area of loving another person spiritually and sexually is the greatest gift in life. To develop true love based on true heart in our relationships is the gift of God to His children.

Let us dare to believe in the ideal where, the spiritual gender and the biological gender are in unison. So, what has happened?

Most spiritual faiths hold some kind of explanation about what happened to separate mankind from God. Most commonly the explanations suggest that the break came from faithlessness or an act against God's approval.

If we accept that the ideal purpose of human beings is to grow into a deep, fulfilling and loving relationship centering on God, then we must accept that our poor struggling relationships indicate that something went wrong in our growth. If we can accept that all things grow over time to maturity, we can understand the possibility for distortion to occur during that growth process. As a tree grows from seed to seedling to sapling to a tree, humans grow from embryo to infant to child to an adult. If strong winds continually hit the tree, it grows crooked. If negative influences continually impress upon a human, that person grows distorted. The result can be a person who lives a life in conflict that interferes with a healthy prosperous fulfilling life. Strong winds we attribute to the forces of nature. Yet strong influences causing unhappiness and despair cannot be the design of a loving God. A tree twisted by the wind may prove to be a beautiful object of natural art. A human being who has sustained wounding, interrupting their divine growth process without corrections being made, becomes the antithesis of their true identity. We understand this contradiction in our gut. The negative force is an influence from within, yet not designed by God.

How do we know this contradictory force exists? Simply observe the self-destructive behavior of humankind trying to fill the void of an unfulfilled heart and soul.

There is no question that the biblical story of Genesis One is vital to our understanding of a unified paradigm. It is, however, only an outline of the process of creation. Genesis Two, while highly symbolic, provides more details regarding the process. Genesis Three provides a glimpse into the emotional and psychological challenges of human growth and development. It is my position that the depicted events are not to be taken literally. As with any ancient writing, understanding the core message is essential, not necessarily accepting what is written at face value.  The narrative of temptation and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, is perhaps a lesson of this couple’s potential and incompleteness. That they, Adam and Eve (their immediate culture), had an opportunity to integrate the earth’s forces in their body and mature the process of divine love which they left incomplete. They disavowed their inner voice, that which was growing in them, and followed another voice. Yes, a voice that appears to be on your side and ultimately becomes a saboteur. Adam and Eve, and their culture, had the potential to create Eartheaven. They were unsuccessful.

This story is a metaphor with real emotional truth. The tree symbolizes a human life with the hope of joy and happiness. Adam would symbolize one tree and Eve the fruit of the tree. The fruit of the tree is where reproduction of new trees exists – the seed where new humans can be created.  In a woman that “fruit” is her womb. In a man it is his reproductive organs. God’s plan and hope for eternal joy lay in the perpetuation and proliferation of more children through the reproductive organs of man and woman.
